The midwinter Orchid

When the daylight is short and the dark evenings are long and you do not know what to do to kill the time, you sooner or later get hit by the Lapland melancholy. For my part it started with trying to test the limit of Maud's Nikon D300 camera in the darkness. I found this tiny flower, only one inch arcoss, on a windowsill, made the room completely dark by turning of all electrics and then only used a small halogen lamp for lightning of the flower.
